University of Washington Partners with Yoodli to Offer AI-powered Communication Coaching to 50,000 Students, Faculty, and Staff

University of Washington announced that students, staff, and faculty on its Seattle campus will get access to Yoodli AI communication coach. As part of the rollout, users will be able to use Yoodli to practice for upcoming interviews, speeches or conversations and get AI feedback.

“We’re delighted about this rollout,” said David Lanman, Head of AI and the first employee at Yoodli. “As a UW alum, I’ve wanted to build technology to give back to my community. It’s especially fulfilling to be offering Yoodli to UW students because Yoodli is headquartered right by the UW Seattle campus and many of our teammates are UW alumni.”

Communication skills are the single biggest determinant of professional and personal success. However, two out of three people in the world struggle to communicate effectively. Yoodli is like Grammarly for speech, your personal smart mirror. It allows you to get private, real-time and judgment-free feedback anytime you’re speaking. 

“Think of Yoodli as a career service professional’s assistant,” said Briana Randall, head of the UW Career & Internship Center. “Students can now get private, judgment-free coaching on their interview skills with AI. That way, our team can help students navigate the more challenging parts of a job search.”

Gregory Heller, Senior Associate Director of MBA Career Management and career coach at UW Foster Business School, says Yoodli can be used for much more than just interview preparation. “Ever since I read about Yoodli’s beta launch, I’ve been using the platform with many of my students and to improve my own communication skills. I use it to practice for my upcoming workshops and to get live feedback when recording my podcasts.”
